At the Metro workshop, we create our masterpieces one at a time.
From timber selection and shell building, through to finishing and assembly,
every process is done with the highest commitment to building you a snare
drum or kit that you will love to play!

We specialize in creating custom drums from indigenous Australian timbers.
Most of these woods are quite rare and hard to work, but they have wonderfull acoustic properties. 
We also produce drums with traditional timbers such as Canadian Maple, Finnish Birch, and African Mahogany.

Paul Warry, owner of Metro Drum Co. pioneered the use of many unusual Queensland timbers for high end drums.
Timbers such as Rosegum, Spotted Gum, Ironbark, Brushbox, Walnut, and Brigalow to name a few.

Hundreds of drummers worldwide, including players such as Will Calhoun, Vinnie Calaiuta, Billy Cobham, and Jimmy Degrasso own some of Paul's creations.
